Sri.Sukumar Shetty

Charitable Endowment Commissioner appoints 9 members as a Committee member for the period of 5 (Five) years. Among all one member has been chosen as an Administrative Committee member.

Sri B.M. SUKUMARA SETTY has been chosen as Administrative Committee Member from 13.05.2001.

Sri SUKUMARA SHETTY born on 13th August 1952 to well known agriculturist. Father Sri K.L.Manjuanth Shetty and mother is Smt. Sadamma Shetty in a place called Mudmunda, at Kundapura Taluk, in Udupi District. He finished his B.A. course at Bhandarkar College, in Kundapur. Mr.Shetty is Managing Director to Souparnika Tiles Factory, and also to Souparnika Cashew Factory. After his successful completion of Managing Trustee in Sri Mookamibka Temple Trust and again he elected for the second term to the same post. His keen interest is to visit temples and donate. Mr. Shetty's objectives are very high, that includes of providing best facilities to all devotees, improving infrastructure, best prasadam to all, increasing income and all other developments.


Sri. B.M. Sukumarashetty is a devotee of Sri. Devi. He is doing work with great interest, sincerity, honestly with above all under pure devotion. He is taking much interest on devotees. The developmental work and its description are as follows: -

1. From 10.05.2000 at 31.08.2001 am amount worth of Rs. 16,00,00,000.00 has been kept under fixed deposit. Before assuming his office, it was Rs. 9,00,000.00 kept under as fixed deposit.

2. The modification of the seva charges of 01.02.1996 of this temple, comes into effect from 10.12.2000 the new rates has been launched, thus the Seva Income has been increased to this Sri. Devalaya.

3. This Temple Mahadwar work is going very slowly and observed the same, enquired the concerned contractor to get completed work in a quick manner. Beside this first floor of the Mahadwara of the wooden work, quotation, tender called intricate carving works also handed over to him and given an amount of Rs. 8.00 lakhs of works has been given to him make intricate during works of copper Rs. 5,50,000/- has been donated by the devotee of the Madras. This Mahadwara works is going to be completed by the 2002, January. Asthabandha and Brahmarathotsavain a great and splendid manner, this function has not been conducted from past 28 years.

4. Even though Ground Floor building works of the "Yatrinivas" worth of Rs. 1.53 crores, due to lack of electrification fittings, furniture's etc. and the same is not given to devotes, administrative member book keen interest and installed the Electricity Transformer and other furniture's for the same Department has sanctioned Rs. 20,50,000.00 and same work started and go to completed on 25.09.2001 it will open for the utilization of the devotes. From this the devotees of this temple will get 48 rooms for utilization.
